KMMC Happening July 15th, 16th & 17th 2024

KMMC is a three day workshop held on Payette Lake at the McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS Campus) in McCall, Idaho with a final community performance in historic Roseberry, Idaho at The Summer Music Festival.

During the 3 days (9:00am-3:00pm) children ages 8-17 will learn basic music skills and history of American folk music with an emphasis on Folk, Bluegrass, and Mountain music. Classes cover an instrument choice of fiddle, banjo, mandolin, or guitar, plus singing and songwriting. At the end of camp, students are encouraged to participate in the community camp concert at The Summer Music Festival at Roseberry. This gives the students real life experience of performing for a live audience as well as giving them an attainable goal throughout camp.

Campers will have the opportunity to select a primary instrument. Plus, each camper will be part of a group that will practice and perform together. The registration form will allow you to select your camper’s primary preference for an instrument to study during group sessions. We will make every effort to give each camper their top choice, but some instruments will have capacity limits. The instrument class offerings this year are: Banjo, Mandolin, or Guitar! *(Fiddle is FULL for 2024!)
